FAQ
Clear answers for cautious next steps.
The goal is to make fit, clearance, cost, and medical boundaries obvious before you request a consult.
Is this physical therapy?
No. Valhalla Training is personal training and performance education. John trains cleared clients back toward strength, conditioning, mobility, and confidence, but he does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or replace care from a physician, surgeon, physical therapist, or other licensed provider.
Do I need medical clearance?
Yes for serious injury, surgery, illness, or active medical restrictions. The readiness consult asks what you have been cleared to do so John can decide whether training is appropriate and what provider boundaries need to be respected.
What kinds of injuries can you work around?
The site does not collect detailed medical records, and John reviews each situation case by case. The right fit is usually someone who has already been cleared for exercise but still needs careful progression, strength rebuilding, movement quality, and confidence.
What if I am still in pain?
Pain, symptoms, or changing medical status should be discussed with your medical provider. John can train around provider restrictions when appropriate, but unresolved or worsening symptoms may mean clinical care needs to come first.
Do you train at home?
Yes. John offers in-person training at a gym or at a client's home within a 20-mile radius of Allentown, PA. There is no remote-only coaching offer on this site.
What does it cost?
Training is currently listed at $40-60 / session. A typical program is three sessions per week. TODO: confirm whether the readiness consult is free or paid before publishing that detail.
How often do we train?
The current offer notes three sessions per week as typical. Frequency still depends on readiness, goals, logistics, and whether the plan fits safely around provider guidance.
Do you prescribe peptides or hormones?
No. John can provide fitness and optimization education and help clients prepare better questions for licensed providers. Prescribing, administration, dosing, and medical decisions belong to a licensed medical provider.
Can you work with my PT or physician's restrictions?
John can respect written restrictions and use them to shape training decisions. He does not direct clinical care or overrule a licensed provider.
Is this for people over 50 only?
No. Adults 50+ are a major focus because the trust and progression needs are often different, but the core fit is post-clearance adults who need careful, exercise-science based strength rebuilding.
